specs do mean something IMO, as you can attribute how a driver will act....most will find the alpines to work better in a car application, as the higher qts making them better suited for IB w/o any eqing.
As for scan and peerless I have played around with both drivers, and to be honest it is very very very hard to justify the slightly better performance in even the OEM scans over peerless, for the near triple in price for scans. Peerless are simply amazing for what tymphany charges for them...
