hey , as the title states i'm curious as to the type of 0 gauge wire i found and bought on Ebay. i asked the dude if it was 100% copper and he answered back that he wasn't sure but that it looked like it may be aluminum. I took the chance and grabbed it cause the price was right, 34 feet for 45.00. i received it today and it looks like it is copper with a silverish coating. phoned Scosche and the tech guy said it was 100% copper with a silver coating...is this true? it states on the wire itself EFX high current power/ground cable and thats it. thx in advance for the replys/answers

Scosche power wire question. copper or CCa?
That seems normal for 0 gauge.
Silver wire is usually in the thousands of dollars. Not sure about silver plated wire, but it's likely very expensive.
Also, silver oxidizes quite badly. I wouldn't want to use it in my car personally. Not worth the theoretical 20% improvement in conductivity.... just buy a copper wire 20% bigger for 1/10th the cost
