i am almost done with the box! this box is truly a culmination of my box building experiences. it is the stoutest most bestest box i have ever built. pics coming up.
i recently remembered i have a exile shift 12d4, so i will pit them against each other!

hehe, i did find them! and i cannot confirm or deny that it was after tipping out ever audio box o crap, and tool box into a giant pile taking me all day sunday to clean and reorganize my tools and audio cables/gear/crap.
so it received some additional braces since you saw it, and a shit ton more glue over any cut side of plywood.
all that is needed now is some t-nutz and more glue

Well, I like the look of the woofer.
Simple graphic design, nice basket(could mount inverted) and beasty for a 300watt sub. But thats just preliminary thoughts..........

I can't wait to give this a try. I measured things yesterday and it looks like my ABC box will fit into the FJ, at least for testing purposes.
If this is anything like the RE SE I had in the 4Runner it should blow the damn door off with only 400 watts of power. This should be fun!

400 will get it done. We have tested a little higher, but did not test yet for total thermal.

It will be on the back channels of the Xenon 200.4 I have in the FJ right now. When I was running the RE SE in the ABC box I was only running 300 to it and it got stupid loud. That damn Pete sure does know how to design a box!

so we hit a small hickup.
the cut out i made in the box was 10.75 (for the rsdc) and apparently everyone else uses a 11" cutout so i have to build a face to fit over my hole to give it that extra clearance.
sorry for the hold up guys

if i cut the hole biger it wont seal on the RSDc when i put it in my car!
so basically i'm doing what you said. i have a second "face" that will bolt into the t nut holes that i would normally mount the rsdc into, which gives the extra girth needed. i will then mount the dcon into that

Weird, I think I have my RSDC12 in an 11" prefab box and it does fine with the extra little space. The RSDC10 also fit very loosely in the RSD10 box you made me... had to extend the holes for the t-nuts a bit so I could move them inwards. It seals off but it needs the rubber gasket. It's a bit leaky right now with the grille on.
I have had to do that a few times when I wanted to keep the box. All the matters is that the 2nd baffle is attached down tight and there is no leaks.

Lol, Brian no rush man. Life comes before audio, unless audio is life. As long as the review is done before the next gen dcon comes out.
So maybe that is the existential question we should all ask our selves. Are we so addicted that audio is life?
