Cleaning a cyclone???

Post by joerg »

I just opened the box and got my first cyclone in my hands now! From what i see it needs a major cleaning. What happens if i open the 2 big screws on top of it? Does this seperate the whole driver from the plexi tunnel? Did it come from the factory with the silicone glue on the edges of the spiral? Took some pics of it to let u know what i´m talking about.

Don't think mine has the silicone. That should be fun to try and remove.......not.

Even if it works there's probably some magnetic dust in there. Happens to all of them. Once you get it fixed it's fixed for good. I think the peace of mind is worth it, especially since you've taken it apart so far already.

Finished cleaning and got rid of all the clear silicone! Managed to make myself new seals and bought some black silicone. You won´t be able to make it a 10 out of 10 again but it is way better as it was before!
