looking for info on a tx406

Post by stockgp »

anyone?

i've had this thing sitting around for i don't know how long. it came with a printed manual from an ax406a, and that's all i know.

i'd like to use it if i can, especially if i can overlap crossover points. but first, i need to know where to get the crossover modules. are these the kind you can build yourself with resistors?

any and all help will be greatly appreciated.

thanks

I have no idea what a TX406 is but there definitely is a AX406A.

Manual is available on our repository:

And yes, this thing uses RNET (resistor networks). You can find info about them in the manual or in our HOWTO thread here:

Basically, the value of resistors you use will determine the xover points.

the little manual has a sticker on it that says " the item you have purchased is newer than is pictured, but the specificattions are the same." or something to that effect.

so since it is the same as the ax406, can you overlap crossover points? i have yet to really look at it. it's new in box and i wanted to keep it that way until i was ready to use it.

Yes. You'll have to change out the RNETS like Fuzzy said above to get the desired frequencies.
