Screws are kinda hard to come by these days but you could find some here and there at specialty hardware stores.

No FuzzyHoNutz... never was thought of you that way man... Oh, so that's how it began? Wheewww...FuzzyHoNutz wrote:Please don't take that the wrong way....... I wasn't trying to be a dick or anything..... This site is the spawn of a couple different sites that are nolonger around. "Cream of the crop" as it can best be discribed imo. We're all fairly knowlegable in the car audio world and I don't think a question has been asked that wasn't answered.......
I think there might be some screws on the bay as a matter of fact but you'd have to search around alittle. Knowing the pitch and thread is probly key.
Hi dBincognito, thank you for your warm welcomedBincognito wrote: Welcome to the Phorum!!!!!!!!
Great line up you have going......do you have a Morel Ultimo Subwoofer....those subwoofers are wonderful
Hi vin78... Thank you so much for the info on the size of it...vin78 wrote:The screws are 4-40 countersunk and about 1/4~1/8" long
Welcome to the forum BTW
The Ultimo's sound great....they are high on price though...but you only have to buy 1rush1 wrote:Hi dBincognito, thank you for your warm welcomedBincognito wrote: Welcome to the Phorum!!!!!!!!

Nope, didnot have the Ultimo... still can't justify myself spending so much for Sub... moreover I have not listened to it since nobody I know is using it.
btw what sub is on your avatar? looked powerful![]()
Cheers,
Matt, 5-40 is the next size up from #4, but they are very, very, very uncommon. #6-32 is the next common size from #4-40, and #6 is quite a bit larger. #6 IIRC is the size of screw that your outlet cover plates in your house use, so you could pull one out and see if it matches the plexi screw...mhyde71 wrote:maybe try a 4-40 and whatever is next size up like a 5-50 (if there is such a beast)
I believe it sounds great... Still enjoying my JL even though I know the Ultimo will produce better bass.dBincognito wrote:The Ultimo's sound great....they are high on price though...but you only have to buy 1![]()
My avatar is a RE Audio XXX 12" sub....it recently got sold b/c it was so big![]()
I'm sure someone on here will have the screws you are looking for.
So they are stainless screws mhyde71... excellent, thank you so muchmhyde71 wrote:They are stainless screws...
and i think the 4-40's will work.. but might be a shade too small...
I know for a fact that the black basscube cover screws are 4-40, and I just set one next to a plexi screw and it looks a little smaller (the BC screw)
IOW It looks like that the plexi screw is a shade bigger than the black basscube screw which that is (as told by PG) is 4-40.
But they are stainless...
maybe try a 4-40 and whatever is next size up like a 5-50 (if there is such a beast)
Hi Jason, thank you so much for your offer. PM sent.Jacampb2 wrote:Almost all of the screws PG used on their cases are #4-40. Most of the screws in their thinner sheet metal, like the ZX/Ti amps, BC, Xovers, ect... are #4-40, undercut countersunk screws. Undercuts will work in all the places that the normal countersunk screws are, but they have the added benefit of fitting the sheet metal CS and still sit flush.
I have hundreds of the undercut #4-40's in 316SS, and can probably ship you some for damn near nothing
**edit** I have a bunch of non undercut ones too, but they aren't stainless, they are mild steel, zinc plated. You are welcome to either, just PM me.
Later,
Jason
