Apparently the HE "sound better" than the PW

There is also this 35mm cap, but I am unsure of the quality...

The MS275 capacitors are 35v

As far as I know the Panasonic's destroyed the Nichicon's SQ wise

If we are looking for SQ caps I will have to go somewhere else as I would not suggest any of these....you would be looking for exotic caps if you want SQ caps....these are just very good replacements

Could you elaborate as to why ?

I thought the Panasonic's were the latest technology ?

Based on what I have found on audiophile forums...

Nichicon PW ~= Panasonic FC
Nichicon HE ~= Panasonic FM

FM/HE > FC/PW

So I would probably lean towards the HE's myself, considering they are much cheaper (Joerg has to buy lots!) and should be greater quality than the FCs.

I bought the FCs myself and was flabbergasted that they cost the same as my rail caps. Made the whole job much less economical, and I highly doubt I could tell the difference.

Well I just have to plain disagree...so we can just agree to disagree 8)

I think ANY Panasonic sounds better than a Nichicon...just my opinion

Meh... I've never done a conclusive double-blind A/B test... have you? You would need two of the same amps, with different caps, aligned bias, gain matched, etc. to make out the difference. There are lots of happy Nichicon users out there, so considering how many caps Joerg has to replace, I would go with the option that costs less and is theoretically equal or better in quality.

No problems with the FCs in my own amp either... I just can't tell the difference.

I could..I have 3 Rev. E 2125's...1 already has Nichicon's in it....I'm ordering Panasonic's....I could order all of the above and run a test.....but it would only be my ear's hearing it...SO...not really working...I also like the blue/gold of the Pan.'s vs. the black Nich......whatever works for Joerg...he has the options that's for sure

Huh? I don't care. I would really like to see an A/B test with the caps because I honestly don't know which is better. I'm just giving Joerg some options :)

I guess I could change the caps out with all different one's and wait for the PPP's(Phoenix Phorum Phloridian's) to come over.....run them then

Whats the difference between the 8200 and the other one s anyways? Is it true that u get more SQ out of a higher value?

It makes the plexi from the SOFAS more stable if it is laying on the caps!
Thats why i´m asking!
