Yes bro, I think it would be nice matching...just like the "Frankampin' Stein" I think...
mhyde71 wrote:I have a semi gloss black powder coat I could do and a top clear coat with pink metal flake if you would like.. simliar to the way my M44 looks up above, but with just the pink flake... then the sink could get powder coated pink... and the TEAM GOLD LOGO could be silkscreened on to it.
Yeah, I got what I meant...just like this...but as I said, I don't know about computer programs, so I don't know how to "edit" the image that "spirit" gave us...Do you understand what I mean? Or it's not possible/ necessary to make the modification?
mhyde71 wrote:LMK, i can help with all of that if you would like.. just need the base, cover, and heat sink sent to me... or I could help you do it yourself if you would like... lmk
I guess It would be the better way, BUT...I would be expensive enought to make me cry...I actually live in Brazil...so I guess would be around 80 Dollars or so just on shipping rates...
I thing would be cheaper and better if you can just tell what and how to do...
The basics paint i have an idea, but the silkscreening...I was wondering what about plotter it and than, after painted, put it on the cover, and the come with a glaze over all that...just like the bikes fuel tanks.
Thanks man!

HOWS THIS LOOK GUYS....?!?!?!?

What'cha Think?? Or Shoot for more of the OEM font, Which I Have.. but kinda like this here...:

SHADOW OR NO SHADOW???
Now remember this is going on a black background, howvere does have gold and other color glitter flakes... what say you guys!?!?

(Edit) The more i think about it, the more i thnk that i wouldnt be able to make such a good looking drop shadow (sample 1) with silkscreening.. I bet that is difficult or takes some talant/ know-how... that i dont have as of yet...

OR JUST TELL ME I HAVE PUSHED THE ENVELOPE TOO FAR AND SHOULD JUST KEEP IT OEM LOOKING?? I KINDA LIKE IT, THE NEW STYLE

The aliasing on a blurred drop shadow like that will be very difficult to print.

I recommend you do a non-blurred drop shadow if any at all.... like behind the Phoenix Gold lettering.

Also, having two opposing drop shadows does look a bit silly. If you do it, remove it from around the Phoenix Gold text first.

I was hit with a bucket of shit reality last night... I spent couple hours at the screenprinting shop and all the artwork I have done/made thus far, have or was sent/given by others is not working properly at silkscreeners for/to expose onto film... Which we discussed a bit last night, but basically the art work i have for screening is not going to work. Which I am pissed and awfully disappointed about... BUT it can and will, it's just gonna take some doing and converting/tracing where needed etc.
I just dont get it, even the artwork that jason sent me that he uses for his work(s), is not working... Guy at silkscreening shop says that some of the graphics are bit maps, and there are aligment issues, etc... F^%$

BUT DONT FRET- It'll get done right... The labeling and the "Phoenix Gold" are all okay... what he is having trouble with is the Team Gold Artwork and MADE IN US Hand- they appear to be bit maps in that download provided.

BUT the stuff for the outlaw, which will only be text, is okay (DDD), AND then in that case, i may just leave off the TEAM GOLD AND MADE IN US HAND...

Yeah, you need vector images, not bitmaps.

yeah it's weird, the artwork i did I did it AI CS3, using pen tools and all that stuff, but it's the OEM M100 file that spirit posted/offered (which he was able to get silkscreened) is not vector - so maybe the printer that did his work, has the vector, but then converted it to .pdf to send to him for his review or whatever, and in the process it converts it to bitmap for the pdf viewing... i dunno

BUT the artwork I have created (as seen above) is all vector.. but he went to expose the M100 OEM artwork and says no way- it aint gonna work... so maybe any/all artwork will be made custom from myself or unless someone really has vector artwork they would like to use.

I.e. (and shortly DDD & I will be posting up the thread for his restoring of an outlaw), that artwork is custom w/ a western theme font for the labeling.

What the problem is, now that I remember more clearly now (we had a few last night)

IT IS B/C the ARTWORK IS DONE WITH CMYK, and not PANTONE... ISnt that some BS???!?!?! Can that be, or maybe I need to find "second opinion" and maybe ask/try a different silk-screener for their input.?.

Sounds like the silkscreener has PANTONE-specific printing gear, then.

If you want to convert it...

Lots of software should be able to convert it. I'm shocked the guy doesn't have something himself... Even Photoshop would probably do it.

yeah, and whats more, maybe to tell me in advance of his limitations/requirements before working it all up and then finding out.

BUT I got a lot of work done last night... just about re-did all that needs to get re-done... Some end plates, artwork for outlaw, m100, and some run-of-the-mill logo's (rca logo, PG, Broken Line PG, etc...) got a lot of stuff done (went to bed 430am and I am F%$#@(D today though (payng for that now- sheeet!)_... i'll post up lil later on... just hadnt saved any for web viewing and all in vector format right now.

BUT they look good, simply just changing the pallet from CMYK to PANTONE
