Cost saving measure from PG. Three is more than enough.
However, I put a 4th in on EVERY M50 I ever work on.

O, that spot may interfere with the chassis on an Outlaw or Bandit (aluminum chassis are bent a bit different on these models), so maybe that is the reason PG never put one there.

Eric, have you noticed any differences in performance between the amps with 3 caps compared too 4?
yep, when you replace those leaky caps with new ones just use slightly shorter caps and fot 4 of them a standard height cap with have interfearence issues with the lid that's why they only fitted 3!

I have not noticed any difference. I doubt there were be a difference if only one cap was installed either.
