Its that time again, and I have an itch to do something different. I figured this time I would try to find an efficient low power setup, that has the output I like and that is budget friendly. This is what I have come up with.
2- 18 dayton classics ($114 each 18 )
Box-12 cubes@30 hertz
Amp- Undecided, but probably rsd 1200.1
Im hoping this system will have smashing lows, and decent output to my standards, all for a low price. Any thoughts guys? Go for it?
I have never honestly heard 18s that I really liked enough to say that I would sport them. I think they are more for home theaters personally but it sounds like a fun project to see if you can make them work.
what else can I say I am a grumpy asshole most of the time.
Well Im ordering the 18s tomorrow, although I still have yet to get an amp. These suckers should handle a bit more power aswell, with a 3 inch aluminum coil. I will probably put around 800-1k on the pair. I have heard nothing but good about these both in home, and car. They should drop fairly low in 12 cubes
