Let's hope I don't start any arguments with this post like the last one did haha. I just got an Alpine mrp-m650 amp for 100 bucks. Is this a good amp for this sub?
Oh and I am going to build a sealed box for the sub as well. How big should it be? Polyfill or not?
New amp good enough for Rsd 12?

its the rsd12d right?
that thing should beat pretty hard. i think you will be happy.
1.5-1.8 sealed is where you want to be. poly fill is your call. i only really use it on fiberglass boxes. but it definitely wont hurt anything

What is the benefit to polyfill? I have heard numerous sides of the story. I have heard it does absolutely nothing, I have heard it makes the sub sound deeper and cleaner, I have heard it makes the box seem bigger than it really is etc.Bfowler wrote:its the rsd12d right?

generally it is a cheap way to cheat and gain a little more space from a box that is lacking it. I have heard it slows down and somewhat splits up the rear sound waves and tricks the sub to think it is bigger. I normally load the sub up in it empty and if I think I want to try it then I try it since it is so cheap.
what else can I say I am a grumpy asshole most of the time.
