Newb saying what's up from KS. *PICS* of car

Post by spoolinfusion »

Hello, my name is Ryan Sauer. I'm from Wichita, Kansas. I work with twisted and fordtough1 @ the same Ford dealership. I have been talking to twisted about my '07 Fusion I'm getting ready to put a double din touch screen and stereo in. I have pretty much made up my mind on all the RSD stuff. Thought you guys might be interested in seeing what the car looks like so far.

I bought it in September of '06 with 28 miles on it. Debadged it, put the 20's, tint, lowering springs, grill, intake, tune and exhaust on it before I had my first oil change.

I'll list all the stuff I plan on getting for the PG setup later tonight. Just wanted to get out there, ya know?

Nice.

I have to say the Fusion is one of the few Fords I would own. Take a look at the one HPA motorsports did.

not a fan of the audio used but the car is sexy......

Welcome to our herd.

the fusion offers a 2.3 i-4 or a 3.0 dohc v-6, but the lincoln zephyr offers a 3.5 dohc v-6

hahaha!!! saw the bare feet as well, relaxed mood IMO, AND ALSO... a engine of a four-stroke honda [moped]?
You have all kind of good stuff lying around in your garage man! :D
If I might add; try fraising the woofer-holes in your next sub enclosure; I'm sure you'll love the feeling of fitting your speakers into exact round holes.
Never used a jig-saw again after I started fraising.
Pls keep posting pics as you progress; I very much enjoy pics of people who just go the extra mile for reaching their goal.
[bare feet or not]

The motor is from my Chinese replica Honda 50. Bent exhaust valve :( I'll be putting on the 138cc oil coiled lifan motor off ebay once the stereo stuff is buttoned up here within the next week.

On the sub-hole cutting thing. I had perfect 10.9" circles drawn, but when I got the dremel out, I couldn't find the guide the connects to the shaft deal that goes to the dead center of the circle....so... I had to free-hand it. Fortunately there is plenty of wood to pre-drill and tap into with woodscrews safely. The right sub fits tight, but the left has a slight bit of up and down play, so I'll have to center it.

I'm getting the my grommets and wood screws and sheet metal screws for the amp rack @ Home Depot tonight. Hopefully they'll have what I need in black, if not there's always paint :D

I'm working on it 8) I want it to be perfect when I Nightshade the oem ones. I actually had taillights I bought from work and seperated, sanded off the chrome insert, painted black and sealed it back up. It wasn't up to par (call me a perfectionist). When I resealed it, it looked kind of sloppy. So I'll practice my Nightshade skills on it before I pull the stockers. I wish (and I hate saying these 3 letters) APC would make me some. I should send them a picture. I'll throw a pic of one of the black housing ones up on here when I get home from work and can put them on my photobucket account. They would have been 1-off if I could have got-r-done. Oh well..

I did the oven bake/crack apart with my heads and corners. It's well worth it man.

Yeah APC's stuff is pretty shit. My seats are APC but hey, @ $100 for the seats (brand new) with RCI harnesses worth over $300 (also new) I couldnt complain.

Be careful with the nightshades. It's soooo easy to go from grey to all out black in that one extra coat lol.

I have tinted tails, but mine are bonafide Kspec covers (you bake off the OEM tail covers in the oven and then the Kspec replace them. And theyre the shizz.

Infact, have a look around, you may find you can buy pre tinted covers...

Seriously tho, I absolutely fucking LOVE that billet front end. I had no idea that was a Fusion at first, it kinda looked like an Audi.. Great choices so far. :)
