This is my daily driver and the build has been slow because I still had to drive it every day. So I'm posting pics of the build up at this point. My intention was to keep all existing space because I use the hell out of the hatch hauling stuff. But at the same time I will be competing with this car so .. here goes ..

Kick Panels

Ultimately the goal was to spred them out as far as possible. The kick area was cleared out and a baffle was glassed in the actual frame of the car.

Door Pods

The 9" Elite's are intended for a sealed enclosure. So sealed it is. Notice the use of water to determine the exact airspace required. As for finishing the doors, I'm undecided. Either the lower half will be done in carbon fiber and the center section in suede, or visa versa. Then some polished rings and other highlights should look classy yet subtle.

Sub Enclosures

This was the funnest part (not!). Utilizing the dead space in the side panels, I was able to keep the hatch clear of a large enclosure and left room for the amps which take up all the space in the floor. Also now I'm able to toy with running my subs in stereo!

Functional But not pretty

The amps are mounted in the floor of the hatch. Literally just screwed down to a piece of MDF for the time being. So there was nothing to show there. Yes I gave up my spare but with the vehicle lowered and custom rims, the little doughnut spare was useless anyway.

The system is fully funtional. Which is kinda bad cause now I'm dragging my feet to finish. But the finishing touches will include a bunch of aluminum and carbon fiber that will tie the exterior and engine bay all together.

....it disgusts me how talented you are. That install seriously makes feel bad about how my install is going. that is one of the best installs i have ever seen. i love stealthy installs

That install is very impressive to say the least. Like Brian, I too like stealthy installs.

Do your windows still roll all the way down?

Yes! Actually, as shallow as the elite drivers are, I have plenty of room to spare. Knowing I could make up the req'd air space along the length of the door, I only went as far as needed to fit the driver with a little breathing room.

LOL Thanks. I don't know if I'd go that far. I like stealth too. I am too practical to do a crazy install for myself.

Thanks for the kind words guys.

Yes it's a Scion Tc. Its fun. There are a tons of performance mods available for them. I've done the standard mods like intake, exhaust, brakes,lowering springs, rims. But nothing extreme. It's certainly not a Porshe. Even though every ricer that pulls up beside me feels the need to test me.

The subs in the rear were 12" Arc Audios. They have been replaced with the Morel Ultimos.

Funny you should say that. My kids usually fight over who gets 'shotgun' in my wifes car but fight for the back seat in my car.

Not only stealthy but as you said, its not using up any cargo space.

Even though the subs in the back look like they'll really pound, it also looks like they are somewhat limited in their air space.
Then again, with the subs boxes being an integral part of the car body, you should really feel them kick.

Thanks for noticing! That's my goal. Something that looks stock only nicer than what's available from factory. And maintaining all functionality.

I was able to 'squeez' out 1.1 cu ft. which is ideal for the Arc subs. However I've changed them out for Morels. After having them in for a couple of weeks now I think they would do a little better in a larger enclosure. I'm gonna try to get another .5 cu ft out of that area. We'll see!
