I could disable that on mine. It's a warning to remove your faceplate.

so using its shape as a guideline, i constructed a replacement boxfrom 1/2 mdf, with a 3/4 baffle. its sitting at right about .3 cf, a little smaller then the instructions suggest, but its all i got.

i secured it in using the factory grill bolt holes, and plumbers tape...and added some more foam.

and finally, the view if you lift up the flap of leather that conceals the sub, and take out the removable arm rest.

it doesn't sound half bad! some the the lower octaves are a bit "tonie" (spelling)..toni..tony (why do i have the sudden urge to listen to early 90's soul now...)
i do have to say, that thing has some movement. JL did a good job with it

but their is only so much you can expect from a entry level 8 in a sealed box.

it sounds plenty good for my mom and her matchbox 20 cd's :)

Those tender little burgers with them little, itty-bitty grilled onions that just explode in ya mouth like flavor crystals every time you bite into one.. just makes me want to burn this muthafuka down.... Come on, Pookie, let's burn this muthafuka down!!!
