Crossover diff? No shit, I wasnt aware. What did they change?stipud wrote:Theoretically yes, but it's a difference of about 10-15 watts, which is wholly inaudible. The Ti series are more reliable and have better crossovers.flogger11 wrote:ZX is slightly more powerful...
But when it all comes down to it, they are basically equivalent.

Yeah, it still has the same tech specs (24db/oct slopes), and are equally configurable... the Ti series just does it more eloquently, and has more reliable parts... i.e. the pots don't get all scratchy like they do in the ZX series.flogger11 wrote:Crossover diff? Old Soundstream, ie Reference or the Class A's etc. yes. There is a new company doing a foreign built tweaked version of the old SoundStreams.

If you get a chance, give the RSd comps a listen. You may not be blown away but from what I've read not only here but on other sites like DIYMA, the RSd65cs are one of the best sub-$500 sets out there.flogger11 wrote:LOL! I don't have a lot to compare to so I won't religiously push these speakers but they do sound great to me.

My thoughts exactly. Also I have heard Boston Pro's, they are a great sounding speaker, although I really prefer soft-dome tweeters, especially at higher volumes... This is what ultimately led me to choose the Polks over the Boston SPZ's.fuzzysnuggleduck wrote:I just realized the Pro60s are a $600 set of speakers.
They damn well better blow the shit out of the RSd or they represent a poor value.

WHAT! Come on! I mean I'm gunna have Ti 400.2 and line driver and I think my internal crossovers are better... I dunno its gunna be a close one! hopefully! The next thing I need to do is figure out how to get 14.4 volts throughout the system so I can get full potential. I know cars regularly run at 13.8 so how do i overcome this challenge? Whats the secret?
not much of a diff on the crossovers, sorry to say. the zx 350 has a little more power but isnt quite as reliable. what r u running for subs/amp?

4 gauge (or 2 gauge if you like) is more than enough, plus a cap would be great. What does your stock alternator put out? I know mine has 105 amps continuous, but my car has lots of factory options so has the upgraded alternator...
