PG titanium Elite 1200watts rms
Can somebody please help, i just got this sub, i am using a JBL GTO14001e amp (1500watts rms) and the sub sounds more like 300-500rms?! Why? i am running 4g wire. and a sealed small box!
Did you wire the voicecoils in series or parallel? Make certain you have them wired in parallel... + to +, and - to -. Also make sure you're not using the LED inputs instead of a voicecoil!
4 gauge wire is probably the bare minimum for that amp... better would be 2 or 0 gauge, and a splitter. Also, the sub prefers larger boxes, ~1.5cuft or so. But it should still sound louder than that.

Do yourself a favor and DO NOT POWER THE SUB ANYMORE UNTIL: you properly wire it!!
Here is the manual. Make sure you only connect the voice coils and leave the LED (lights) disconnected, or run them a separate power (+) and ground (-).

Scroll down to page 2 for a picture diagram. You want the sub wired in parallel.

Were you running a ported enclosure with your last sub? If so, that will make a HUGE difference on output...

Also, do you mainly listen to techno/rap/hip hop? if so, you WILL NOT be happy w/ the sealed enclosure and will have to go back to a ported design...

You probably will have to go back to a ported box to be happy, honestly.selondontiburon wrote:I listen to trance/dance/rap etc. But i THINK my box is def too small, its only around 1ft x 1ft and a few air leaks i think.
