Xenon LPL question....

Post by Rold Gold »

Is there a way to run 2 600.1's on 1 lpl?????

What I thought was that if you went from the HU to the "master" amp(600.1) and set all the XO levels and then run out of the master to a "slave" amp(600.1 set to pass-thru) and it would use the master settings.... Thus only having to use 1 LPL to control both amps.....

Am I off my rocker??????

i think you can, look at the pg manuels under car audio- i think , it shows using a single lpl-44 for a ti or muitple amps, but believe it would work for any pg amp that accepts lpl-44; as a matter of fact when i used two rsd 1200.1, i used the tech diagram for the ti amps using one lpl-44 to control multiple amps, and IT DID WORK!

You can use a phone cable splitter as well.

Here it is:

For ZX amps you had to use two conductor wires and a cable between the - terminals. For all others you can use 4 conductor and no need for the extra wire.

2001 Focus........

He just couldn't help himself after the sale......Plus he'd just gotten the focus back on the road.... His fronts are pretty bright off that 200.4 I might add..... I planted the seed to get 2 more 600.1's......

I would recommend that you use the phone-splitter method for what you're trying to accomplish. I've never had good luck using the rca pass-thru to accomplish this because of differences in the preout voltage levels of your source and the amp's output. You can compensate with gain, but why would you?

I do plan on using the pass-thru on some of my Ti amps to not only provide a low pass filter for my MS but to also pass-thru an LPL signal. I'm actually pretty excited about that prospect.
